My Favorite Banana Bread Recipe
I love all foods that have less than ten ingredients and require less than 15 minutes of prep. I won’t even deny that I’m lazy when it comes to cooking. The year I got a crock-pot for Christmas may have actually changed my life. Living in my own little apartment, my senior year of college, I would dedicate my Sundays to homework, cleaning, Netflix, and amazing bath & body works candles. It sounds way more picturesque and amazing than it actually was, I promise. But, one night I decided I definitely needed to make some banana bread to eat for the week (plus it makes your house smell fabulous). I searched and searched pinterest for recipes that had ingredients that I already had in the kitchen. When I pinterest recipes and scroll through to see all of the crazy ingredients you need, a lot of times it turns me off. I want something fast, easy, and minimal effort.
When i found this recipe from Eazy Peazy Mealz, they weren’t lying when they said simple and delicious. I’ve made this recipe for my family and mostly myself (cause i love all things carb related) and have received nothing but raving reviews. Listed below are the ingredients, directions, and a printable recipe! Enjoy 🙂
2-3 brown, ripened bananas, smashed
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup melted butter
pinch of salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
- Preheat your oven to 350. I always do this first so it can preheat while I’m mixing my ingredients together 🙂
- Mix all ingredients in a medium-large size bowl.
- Pour ingredients into greased loaf pan
- Bake between 50 minutes & one hour
- Cool in pan, on rack
